We give recognition to the following partners and supporters of the project:
► 'Infotech', an information technology company based in Pretoria, was instrumental during the early development phases of the 'Hippo Water Roller'. Funding in excess of ZAR1 million was provided for research and development. This process of development and prototyping contributed to the Hippo roller being what it is today, a robust and purpose-built unit that can survive the difficult circumstances and terrain that is often associated with its development.
The Hippo roller was awarded the “Design for Development” award in 1997. The institute regularly uses the roller in exhibitions around the world.
